The Break-Up

Well, not with Cody, but today was break-up day with my trainer...let me explain.
I've had a personal trainer named Justin for a 7 months now, he is my age and we get along great! He hasnt just been someone telling me what exercises to do, but he seems to generally care about my progress. He also is the reason I started running. He told me "once you run your first race, you will be addicted!" and wow, I had no idea how right he would be! Since then I've run five 5K's, a 6K, and my first 15K will be the River Run!! So today at my last session, he and I joked about our break-up. I assured him that it wasn't him it was me. lol.

The rest of my day was pretty uneventful. Classes were boring as usual, but got through the day. After training Cody and I went to BestBuy and I bought my mom and ipod shuffle. She runs with no music so I thought I should do something nice for her. I got a new ipod car adapter, so a pretty good night.

Then I made dinner, pork chops, brown rice, and veggies! Yummy! Now its off to do homework. Can't wait for tomorrow though. Cody and I are going to see 3 Days Grace/Breaking Benjamin in concert. We are meeting up with our friends Ashley and Brian for dinner and then the show. Should be a fun day/night in Jacksonville.

Catching Up

The end of another weekend and yet again I find myself catching up on things! Sunday seems to be my day to catch up on laundry, cleaning, and the ever dreaded homework! I am so ready to graduate and be done, only 2 more months!!

Well today is a weigh-in day, and I lost 2 more pounds! I am so excited to actually see results! That brings the total to 14 lbs in 7 weeks!! I'm doing it naturally and healthy with eating right and exercise. It's one thing in my life bringing me joy because I'm doing it for me and I'm making progress!

Well, guess I should go catch up on everything today and get ready for another long week. Off to my world of laundry and cleaning, followed by lunch with Cody on his break, then writing a paper most of the day! Happy Sunday!

Woohoo first blog! (lame I know) Well, I used to write so much as a kid and now in school writing is such a chore. Its something I used to enjoy though, so why not write about what I want. Maybe this will bring the fun back! Either way, jumping in!
So, decided to skip school today, feeling super guilty. It is so hard to get motivated to go to a class that doesnt take attendance, but going to class "benefits" you. I think it benefits me to work those extra few hours and make some money! Ok, think I'm over the guilt now...the only other thing I do is work-out, which mostly involves running. I've started this whole weekly weigh-in and competition with my dad which is awesome! It has helped me so much, I have a visible goal and I'm seeing results....12 lbs in 6 weeks!!! My goal is about 20 more.

I'm also running the River Run in about 3 weeks! This has been a goal of mine for a while now. It's 9.3 miles with 2 bridges. To advanced runners, this seems like nothing, but for me it seemed impossible. Now as my training continues its starting to feel like more of a reality. I'm extremely nervous, but getting anxious for the race to be here! Guess thats it for now!
